Hostelum came out of a simple observation: small properties choose between chain software that is far more than they need and a cheap tool that is missing precisely what Spanish law requires.
What we do
We build and maintain Hostelum: the PMS, the channel manager, the booking engine and the invoicing. It is all our own product, not a resale of third-party parts with our logo on top. What is third-party — payments, distribution — we name outright.
How we work
We prepare a clear proposal before you start. We tell you what we do not do before you have to ask. We do not sign lock-in contracts. And when something is in beta, we call it beta inside the product itself, not only in the contract.
Where we are
The team is in Barcelona and the servers are in the European Union. That matters for GDPR, and it also means that when you call support, the person who answers knows what a Spanish guest registration report is.
Easy by design
If a feature needs a thirty-page manual, it is badly built. We would rather have fewer options that people understand.
No black boxes
If the system moves a rate or changes a room, it tells you why. You can audit every automated decision.
Operational honesty
We would rather lose a sale by saying "not yet" than win it and have the awkward conversation three months later.
