Why "today" matters
Cleaned yesterday is not cleaned today
A simple status on the room record cannot tell whether it was cleaned this morning or last Tuesday. Hostelum also keeps a table of tasks per day, so the status you see is always the one for the current day.
- The time the room moves to clean or inspected is recorded
- Automatic assignment prefers clean or inspected rooms for same-day arrivals
Frequently asked questions
Can I give access to housekeeping only?
Yes. Permissions are per section, so you can create a user who lands straight on the housekeeping screen and sees no bookings, rates or invoicing.
Does it need an app installed?
No. It opens in the phone browser and can be saved to the home screen like any other website.
Can rooms be assigned to individual team members?
Today the view is the whole hotel with the statuses for the day, not a task list per room attendant. If you split the work by floor, the per-floor view is what gets used for that.
